What is Angina? Symptoms, Causes, Prevention & Complications and Risk factors of Angina.

What is Angina?

Heart pain is a major symptom of coronary artery disease, which is known as angina. When the heart gets oxygenated through the heart muscles (coronary artery) in very small quantities, it causes stress, pain or inconvenience in the chest. Hence these symptoms of heart are known only as angina. However, if a person is experiencing angina, then he is likely to have heart disease.

 Generally, lifestyle changes and medicines can be controlled by taking it. If the symptoms of angina are quite effective, then its treatment may require surgery.

 Types of Angina.

 There are two types of Angina
 a) Stable Angina
 b) Unstable Angina

 * Stable Angina:
 Stable angina, also known as angina pectoris, is the most common type of angina. Stable angina occurs when the heart has to work more or less harder than usual, for example, while climbing the stairs, during exercise,  Physical activity (hard work) or stress helps in increasing it. Stable angina usually lasts for a few minutes or about 5 minutes, and becomes relaxed during rest.

 * Unstable Angina:
 In most cases, unstable angina is a sudden heartache and this pain increases a lot with time, which can cause heart attack. This pain can also be felt during rest or during low working hours. The pain in the unstable angina can last longer and longer, and this pain keeps coming again and again.

 Both types of angina are usually symptoms of an underlying heart problem, so contact the doctor as soon as you notice symptoms of angina. Unstable angina is more severe than stable angina, it can be extremely painful and intolerable.

  Symptoms of Angina

 Below are the symptoms of angina:

 1. Feeling stressed and feeling irritation along with chest pains and discomfort.
 2. Feeling the problem of Heartburn.
 3. Pain in the back with your arms, neck, jaw, shoulder or chest pain.
 4. Restlessness.
 5. Dizziness.
 6. Feel tired.
 7. Inhalation of breath or discomfort in breathing.
 8. Feeling weak.
 9. Sweating.
 10. Pressure.

 Many times it is considered to be gas pain. Men feel pain in their chest, neck and shoulders, and women may feel troubled in their stomach, neck, jaw, throat or back. You may also have difficulty breathing, sweating or dizziness. One study found that women use words like pressure or trash to describe angina's pain.

 Causes of Angina.

 Angina is often caused by coronary artery disease in the body. Coronary artery acts as a way to reach the heart of oxygenated blood. When some quantity of cholesterol a fatty substance called plaque, on the wall of the arteries, collapses the artery, thereby blocking the flow of blood in the heart. This is the reason for chest pain. This is the main reason for angina.

 The main causes of angina can be as below-

 * Angina occurs due to very narrow arteries.
 * Since oxygenated blood is difficult to reach the heart muscles, symptoms of angina are revealed.
 * Other factors that cause damage or damage to the arteries such as high levels of fat or sugar in the blood, also cause angina.

 Apart from this, there are some other factors that can help enhance angina. like

 * Physical exhaustion or hard work.
 * Smoking can also increase angina.
 * A heavy diet is also the main cause of angina.
 * Severe emotional stress.
 * High temperature contact.

 Unstable angina is often caused by breakdown of coronary artery and blood clot formation. It is partially or completely blocking the artery, which causes heart attack.

 Causes of Stable Angina:
 The stable angina usually starts due to physical labor. In addition to physical activity, other factors, such as emotional stress, cold temperatures, heavy food and smoking, can also narrow the arteries and trigger angina.

 Causes of Unstable Angina:
 A breakdown of fatty plaques deposited in a blood vessel can cause blood clotting, which can block blood flow in the blood vessels.

 Prevention of Angina.

 Stable angina is often treatable with medication. Apart from this, some lifestyle changes can be reduced and its symptoms can be reduced. Therefore, the following measures may be included for prevention of angina:
Control Other health conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes.

 * Eat balanced meals.
 * Exercise regularly.
 * Do not consume alcohol.
 * Maintain a healthy weight.
 * Avoid smoking.
 * Reduce stress level.

 The following risk factors are included as:

 * Use of tobacco
 * Tobacco use.
 * Diabetes disease.
 * High blood pressure.
 * The amount of high blood cholesterol (high blood cholesterol).
