 Causes & Risk Factors of Congenital Heart Disease (Defect)

 What can be the reason for having a heart hole and risk factors?

 Causes of congenital heart failure are the incomplete or abnormal development of fetal heart during the first week of pregnancy. Which may include the following defects:

 * Heart interior walls
 * Heart valve
 * Arteries and veins that carry blood to the heart or body

 The real cause of most congenital heart defects is unknown. But there may be some factors for developing

Congenital heart defects, which are the following.

 1. Genetic factors.

 * Heredity - Heart diseases are likely to be higher than the general population in the offspring of those with heart related flaws.

 * Mutations - There are several types of mutations that can affect the texture of the heart and cause birth defective heart problems, such as the artificial septal defect.

 * Other congenital defects - More than 1 third of babies born from Down syndrome are born with heart related defects. Approximately 25% of those suffering from turner syndrome have cardiac impairment.

 2. Environmental factors.

 * Viral infection - Women who come in contact with Rubella (Germany measles) in the first 3 months of pregnancy, then the chances of heart related problems are increased in children born by them.

 * Medicines - There are some types of medicines, which increase their risks. These drugs include bipolar disorder, acne and tourism management.

 * Alcohol - Alcohol consumption during pregnancy also increases the chances of heart failure.

 * Smoking - Women who smoke during pregnancy, the chances of congenital heart disease are higher in infants born by them. Coming out of second-hand smoke also increases the chances of congenital heart disease.

 * Cocaine - Taking cocaine during pregnancy also increases the risk of heart failure in babies born by them.

 Prevention of Congenital Heart Disease (Defect)

 How can the holes in the heart be prevented?
 Women who are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, they can take the following precautions to reduce the risk of developing congenital heart defects in children born from them.

 * If you have become pregnant or plan to be, and if you are eating some type of medicines, talk to the doctor about it.

 * If you have diabetes, make sure that you get into your blood sugar level control before becoming pregnant. Control of blood sugar also helps doctors to manage other diseases.

 * If you have not vaccinated Germany's measles, then avoid getting in touch with this disease, and talk to your doctor for information about its prevention options.

 * If congenital heart defects are your family problem, then meet the doctor for genetic screening and tell them about it.

 * During pregnancy do not drink alcohol and do not use any other illegal drugs.
