Home Remedies for Skin Itching.

Itchy skin is a common problem that affects many people. It hurts if you are doing any work or are asleep. Allergies, insect bites, skin infections, dry weather, soaps and detergents, and even some drugs cause itching. 


Itching may get relief for some moment after itching, but it can spread your injury and infection more. 

So today we are going to tell you some home remedies which you can get relief from itching -

 1. Baking soda.

 Baking soda is the most common home remedy for itching skin and skin rashes. Baking soda has anti inflammatory properties that help relieve the itching. Apart from this, it works like a natural acid neutralizer, which helps remove the problem of itching.

 1. Put a cup of baking soda in a cold water tub
 2. Now mix this water well so that the baking soda mix well.
 3. Either you sit for half an hour in this tub or put this water on your body with mag.
 4. Instead of wiping with towels, let your body dry like this.
 5. Make sure to do this procedure everyday once.

 Note - Never use baking soda on an open injury.

 2. Oatmeal.

 Colloidal Oats (a very thin powder) helps to calm the itchy skin and helps to relax. It has anti-irritating, anti-inflammatory and relieving properties that give relief quickly with itching.

 1. Mix one or two cups of colloidal oats into lukewarm water tub.
 2. Now either you can seat in the tub or you can use this mixture from mug also.
 3. Never use hot water, it can increase your problem even more.
 4. You must repeat the otmeal bath three times throughout the day.

                     OR

 1. Also add some water to a cup of Colloidal Oats and leave it as long until its paste is formed. 
 2. Now place this mixture on the affected areas and cover it for half an hour with some clothes.
 3. Now make sure to use this measure once every day.
 4. If you do not have colloidal oats, you can also use oat flour or whole oats.

 3. Cold water.

 The stimulation of cold water and itching goes through the same nerve of the body, so put cold water on your affected areas, it will give you much relief from the skin itching. There are several ways to use cold water for itchy skin.

 1. Rinse cold water on your affected areas.
 2. Now apply ice covered in cloth to affected area.
 3. Apart from this, you can take a bath with cold water.

 4. Lemon.

 People have been using lemons for long periods of itching on skin. Lemon contains citric and acetic acid in which there are antiseptic, anesthetic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-irritating properties.


 1. Take out lemon juice from one or two fresh lemons 
 2. Now immerse the cotton wool in the juice and apply it on the affected areas.
 3. Let it dry now, then clean that area with lukewarm water.
 4. Repeat this remedy twice a day, until the situation is fixed.

 5. Apple vinegar.

 Apple vinegar has antiseptic, anti-itching, antifungal and antibacterial properties that help in relieving the itching.

 1. Mix two or three cups of apples in the lukewarm water tub.
 2. Now sit in this tub for 15 to 20 minutes.
 3. Then let the skin dry and then apply moisturizer cream on it.
 4. Make sure to do this procedure once a day.

                       OR

 1. To treat more itching, immerse the cotton wool in apple vinegar and apply it on the affected areas.
 2. Now leave it like this for half an hour and then wash it with lukewarm water.
 3. Now make sure to use this mixture once or twice for few days.

 6. Aloe vera.

 Aloe vera contains anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antifungal properties. In addition, there is vitamin E which helps to moisturize the skin and in turn reduces the itching.

 1. Remove the prison from the first of the aloe vera leaves. Now put the gel on the affected areas.
 2. Leave it felt like this for 15 minutes and then wash that area with lukewarm water.
 3. Make sure to do this easy solution everyday atleast once. 

                        OR

 1. Add a spoonful Aloe vera gel with two teaspoons green clay to make paste.
 2. Now place this paste on the affected areas and let it dry for some time.
 3. After drying, wash the area with lukewarm water.
 4. Make sure to do this process once a day.

 7. Basil.

 Basil is a useful herb to get rid of itchy skin. Eugenol is high in Tulsi, it is an effective oil and it also has anesthetic. Along with this, there is a compound called Kapoor and thymol, which provides relief from itching. 

 1. Put one spoon dry basil leaves in two cups boiling water.
 2. Cover the vessel for a few minutes.
 3. Now put this mixture to cool down and then apply it on cotton-affected areas.
 4. Keep the remaining mixture in a vessel.
 5. Do this process as long as possible.

 8. Peppermint.

 Peppermint oil contains anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, analgesic and cohesive properties which help in the removal of itching due to dermatitis, itching or stress.

 1. Put a few drops of mint oil in a lukewarm water tub
 2. Now go to seat for half an hour in that tub or you can also use that water.
 3. Make sure to do this procedure everyday once.

 9. Coconut oil.

 Coconut oil is extremely beneficial for the problem of itching. Whether it is due to insect bites or due to the dry skin. Coconut oil helps relieve these troubles.


 1. Make a little lukewarm oil of sour oil.
 2. Now take them on the fingers and apply them to the affected areas.
 3. Apply the massage after applying and leave it for a while.
 4. There is no need to wash coconut oil.
 5. This will keep your skin hydrated and it will also relieve you from itching.
 6. Put lukewarm coconut oil on the affected areas before bathing.

 10. Sesame oil.

 Sesame oil is another natural method for the problem of dry skin and sunburn. It is easily absorbed in your skin, nourishes and also treats the skin from the inside. Put sesame seed oil on slightly affected areas, it helps reduce redness and itching from scratch. By using it daily, it will act as a sunscreen on your skin and will maintain your skin moisture.
