Home Remedies for Chikungunya.

Chikungunya is a viral disease that spreads through mosquitoes. Symptoms of chikungunya include high fever, joints pain, headache, nausea, and skin rashes. There is no cure for this disease. But diet still has a special role in recovering from this disease. If you are eating the right diet in this disease and you take some home remedies, you can reduce the woes of this disease to a great extent. You can use these home remedies to help relieve pain after chikungunya and recover from its side effects




 1. Papaya leaf

 Wash the leaves of 7-8 fresh papaya and remove the stem from the middle. Mix some water to break the leaves and get a liquid paste. Now filter this mixture and drink two large spoons of this juice every three hours. Continue to consume this juice for 2-3 days if the symptoms persist, continue to consume it for another week.

 Papaya leaves are not only effective in dengue but also in chikungunya. In this fever, the platellates of the body fall rapidly, which increase the papaya leaves rapidly. Thus, it helps the body recover from infection.

 2. Garlic.

 Chop 10-12 garlic buds and cut them. To get the paste, grind it with water. Apply this paste to the affected joints and leave it for a few hours. Follow this measure twice a day.

 Garlic is often used to remove pain in joints. When it is applied externally, it reduces pain and swelling and also improves circulation.

 3. Turmeric.

 Mix half spoon turmeric powder in a glass of lukewarm milk. Drink a glass of milk in the morning and a glass of milk before bedtime.

 Turmeric is one of the most effective home remedies for major diseases. Turmeric is also a popular spice in India. Turmeric has a strong antioxidant called curcumin, which has swelling properties. These properties make turmeric an effective home remedy for the treatment of symptoms of Chikungunya.

 4. Red Chillies 

 Heat 3 large spoons of red chillies in a double boiler for 5-10 minutes in water. Now add half a cup of wax and keep stirring constantly until the wax melts well and mixed. Now remove it from the heat and mix 1 cup olive oil in this mixture and keep it in the refrigerator for 10 minutes. And then apply on the affected joints. You can store this paste in an airtight container for 1-2 weeks.

 Red pepper is perfect in capsacien which acts as an effective anti-inflammatory agent. Scientific research has proven that this compound reduces swelling.

 5. Cold compress.

 Crush ice cubes a bit and wrap crush ice in a small towel. Put the towels on the joints for a few minutes. 

Repeat this several times during the day. The best way to reduce inflammation, pain and joint damage is cold compress. It does this by slowing the flow of blood in the affected area.

 6. Oil massage

 Heat two little spoon of castor oil and mix a pinch of cinnamon powder in it. Mix well and gently massage the affected joints for a few minutes. Re-massage with this oil twice or thrice during the day.

 The properties which reduce inflammation of castor oil are known to reduce the pain due to Chikungunya Virus. Cinnamon also has properties that reduce inflammation and it promotes castor oil in reducing joint pain.

 7. Grapes.

 Chew grapes out of some seeds and drink milk with it. You can repeat it for a day or two.

 This remedy provides relief from severe symptoms of chikungunya such as pain and fever. Chikungunya viruses die while taking grapefruit with lukewarm milk of cow. The phenolic compounds present in grapes contain antioxidant and antiviral properties. Do not use this remedy if you are allergic to dairy and dairy products.

 8. Basil.

 Boil 10 basil leaves in half a liter of water. And boil till the water gets half. Now wipe this decoction and weigh it all day. Eat this basil decoction for a few days.

 Basil leaves are very effective when they are used to treat chikungunya fever. These leaves reduce fever and promote body immunity. Promotes the process of fixing their antimicrobial activity.

 9. Coconut Water

 Drink 3-4 glasses of coconut water for a few days during the day. Coconut water is also a good solution for Chikungunya virus along with liver. Drinking coconut water is the best home remedies as it helps to cure patients' liver and recover faster. Its manganese content helps in reducing pain in joints because it acts as a reducing agent.
