What is Peptic Ulcer?

 Peptic ulcer is a type of wound that develops in the inner layer of the stomach, in the food tubes and in the small intestine. There is pain in the stomach during peptic ulcer and these pain feels from the navel to the chest, it is considered to be the most common symptom of peptic ulcer. If this ulcer is not treated for a long time, then it can be even more dangerous and can lead to many other diseases along with it. 


 Types of Peptic Ulcer.

 Peptic ulcer usually consists of three types:

 1. Gastric ulcers - These ulcers are in our stomach.
 2. Esophageal ulcers - These ulcers are in our food tube.
 3. Duodenal ulcer - These ulcers are in our small intestine.

 Symptoms of Peptic Ulcer.

 Pain in the stomach is the main symptom of peptic ulcer. 

 1. Cystic pain usually occurs in the upper middle part of the stomach, this pain is below the navel and under the chest.

 2. Due to ulceration of the stomach, burning pain, pain may also occur in the rear of our back.

 3. Usually stomach ache occurs when our stomach remains empty for several hours after eating food.

 4. Especially during the night and morning, this pain becomes more effective. Until our hour, our stomach remains empty.

 5. The pain during ulcers can persist for a few minutes to several hours.

 6. Ulcers can get relief from food, antacids, or vomiting.

 Following are some other symptoms of peptic ulcer.

 * Nausea
 * Vomiting
 * Loss of appetite
 * Loss of weight

 In cases of most ulcers, there is bleeding in the stomach. However, sometimes only bleeding is the symptom of ulcer. Radiation is sometimes fast and sometimes slow. However, the acute hemorrhoid is known for these reasons. 

 * Exposure of blood with vomiting or blackness of coffee come out. If this is happening to you, it means that you should not be irresponsible at all and go to the hospital without delay.

 * Black colored blood with stool, sticky looking stool.

 Causes of Peptic Ulcer.

 It is not known what causes peptic ulcer. Although we know that it occurs due to an imbalance between duodenum and digestive fluids found in the stomach. Peptic ulcer in most cases due to the infection of the bacteria Helicobacter pylori in the small intestine layer.


 Helicobacter pylori bacteria, is a very common bacteria. Its symptoms are so common that we can not even feel them, and they start affecting us. It is very difficult to understand their symptoms. These bacteria are in the dormant layer of our stomach and people of any age can get into it.

 However, some people get irritable to the inner layer of the stomach because of the helicobacter pylori bacteria, and these bacteria reduce the ability to digest food in our stomach. This thing has not been ascertained yet, why some people get more heliobacter pylori due to bacteria than other bacteria.

 There may be other causes of ulcers.

 * Upon being more than 50 years old.
 * alcohol consumption
 * Consuming tobacco
 * Stress
 * Spicy food
 * On being afflicted with liver, kidney and lung related diseases
 * In the treatment of radiation area

 Prevention of Peptic Ulcer.

 By avoiding alcohol, smoking, painkillers, caffeine and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), we can keep ourselves away from peptic ulcer. By consuming all of these, the protective power of our stomach is exhausted and the amount of gastric juices also increases in the stomach.

 To protect against Helicobacter pylori bacteria stay away from contaminated food, along with contaminated water, keep a lot of hygiene. Wash hands with hot water and always use soap in the bathroom such as after changing the diaper and always wash hands with soap even before cooking.

 * Use other types of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) which are less harm to the stomach.
 * If you take several doses of medication in the day, then control it.
 * Take other medicines like Acetaminophen (Tylenol)
 * Contact the doctor and ask for your health.

 What to eat during Peptic Ulcer?

 Peptic ulcer patients should begin with the introduction of a glass of lukewarm water at the beginning of their day. Add non-boiled or roasted food to your breakfast, keep fruit or raw vegetables and sprouted grains in the morning snack.

 Eat lunch and dinner in small quantities. Eat lots of raw vegetables, such as cucumber, tomato, carrot, flax seeds, freshly sprouted grain beans etc. add salad in your diet. You can also include sesame seeds, sunflower seeds and olive oil in salad, it will be extremely beneficial for you.

 Do not consume anything else after eating after letting the stomach remain empty during the interval before eating again. If you feel hungry, eat raw vegetables, sprout green beans and dry foods such as palm and dried fruits.

 Eat daily food at the same time and sleep daily at the same time. If possible it can be as quick as possible, it can be better for yourself. Avoid drinking too much cold water.

 What not to eat in Peptic Ulcer?

 Do not eat food products containing rice, wheat as much as possible. These foods are very difficult to digest and can increase the amount of acid in the stomach. If you can not stay away from these food products, always keep in mind that do not include mutton in any condition. Patients can eat fresh or organic meat but they should not be fried in any situation and should not be too ripe.

 Do not eat alcohol, tea, coffee, spicy, fried, oiled food, curd, milk products, products containing dessert, refined sugar, fruit juice, aerated drinks, soda, coconut water and sour or spicy food. They also promote ulcers.

 Eat food whenever you eat, slowly eat and chew well before swallowing the food. It is extremely important for digestion of food completely and meeting well with saliva, which helps us digest food.
