Home remedies for Pain in Legs.

The problem of pain in the legs is a common problem that is experienced by people of all ages. The pain can be extremely serious to normal. It feels in one or both legs. Some pain is inconvenient and uncomfortable in the legs. Whereas serious pain affect your mobility or you start having difficulties when weights in the legs. 

Other symptoms like weakness, numbness or tingling are seen. There are various reasons for pain in the legs. The most common pain is muscle spasms, muscle fatigue, lack of nutrients, dehydration or long standing etc. Many times, the pain also occurs due to muscle tension, tendency or fracture. Some medical conditions such as deep vein thrombosis, restless leg syndrome, sugar (diabetes), rheumatism, gout, varicose veins and nerve damage can cause this problem. 

 Let's see some home remedies for leg pain.

 1. Leg strengthening exercises

 * You can strengthen all the major muscles of weak legs with exercise.
 * There are some good exercises that you can do at home such as Heel Slide, Quad Press, Straight Leg Raising, Hamstring Strength, Swiss Ball Squats etc.

 * You should do these exercises 3 or 4 times per week provided they do not cause or increase the cause of the pain.

 * You can do Yoga and Tai Chi too.

 2. Healthy food for strong legs

 Poor diet and dehydration are one of the main causes of leg weakness and muscle cramps. You can easily reduce this condition by rejuvenating your body. In addition, to keep your body hydrated, eat more water containing fruits and vegetables.

 To reduce the weakness of the legs, include healthy proteins, potassium, magnesium and vitamins in your diet. You can use some good sources of proteins such as eggs, curd, soya foods and nuts in your diet and cooked potatoes with potassium and sweet potatoes, bananas, plums, raisins and tomato juice.

 Milk filled with calcium, protein and other nutrients is another good diet that can fight with foot weakness. To give strength to your legs, drink at least 1 glass of low fat milk twice a day. You can boil and fry the finely chopped figs, dates and almonds with a glass of low fat milk.

 3. Cold compress for leg pain

 When there is pain in the feet after excessive physical activity, then you can use cold bags. This will remove the affected area and help in controlling inflammation.

 1. Put some ice in towels or clothes.
 2. Now place it on the affected areas for 10 to 15 minutes.
 3. Repeat this process several times throughout the day.

  Note: Do not take ice directly on the skin.

 4. Massage for leg pain.

 Massage provides relief to the problem of muscle mass. According to the 2012 study, if you massage for 10 minutes in muscle stress after exercise, this will comfort you very much. Apart from doing massage, blood circulation improves and helps to remove stress or anxiety.

 1. Put hot olive oil, coconut or mustard oil on the affected areas.
 2. Massage the legs for ten minutes.
 3. Repeat the massage process two to three times throughout the day.

 Apart from this, you can massage yourself on your feet with massage equipment.

 5. Turmeric

 Another effective home remedy for leg pain is turmeric, which contains antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Curcumin present in turmeric helps in reducing inflammation.
 1. Mix one spoon turmeric powder with some sesame oil in a small quantity.
 2. After mixing the paste well, rub it on the affected areas.
 3. Leave it felt like this for half an hour.
 4. Then wash it with hot water.
 5. Do this process twice a day.

 6. Apple cider vinegar.

 The apple vinegar helps to remove the pain of the legs. This is particularly beneficial for arthritis and gout pain. Its alkaline effect eliminates uric acid crystals in the blood. Apart from this, it also helps to remove the formation of toxic substances in joints and tissues. Along with this, it also brings potassium, calcium and other essential minerals to your body to reduce pain and swelling.

 1. Make hot water in the bathtub or bucket and add one or two spoonfuls of apple vinegar.
 2. Now keep your legs for half an hour in it.
 3. Make sure to do this process once a day for a few days.

 7. Epsom salt

 Epsom salt contains magnesium, which is an important electrolyte that helps regulate nerve signals in the body. It also helps in relaxing the muscles by natural methods and also reduces pain and swelling of the legs. 

 1. Take a hot water in a bucket and mix one or half spoon epsom salt in it.
 2. Now put the legs in for 15 minutes.
 3. Do this mixture two or three times a week.

  8. Ginger

 Ginger contains anti-inflammatory properties which help in pain and swelling in the legs. It also improves circulation and flow of blood, thus removing muscle pain.

 1. Massage from ginger oil on the affected areas.
 2. You repeat the massage process two or three times throughout the day until the pain in the legs does not go away.
 3. Also drink ginger tea twice or thrice in the day. To make ginger tea, keep fresh ginger pieces in boiling water for five to ten minutes. Now put honey and lemon to taste.
 4. If you want to eat ginger supplement, first talk to your doctor.

 9. Lemon juice

 Lemon contains antioxidant which helps in relief from pain. This keeps your body's Ph levels and does not have problems associated with swelling or pain in the legs.

 1. Mix lemon juice and castor oil in equal quantity.
 2. Apply it on the affected areas two or three times throughout the day.
